Honoree: Brian Tuzil

Master Sergeant Brian J. Tuzil enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in May of 2003. He graduated from BM-A School in Yorktown, Virginia in October 2003. He successfully graduated from USCG BM-A Cutter Force Strand, Piloting and Navigation School in Dania Beach, Florida in 2005. He served active duty at Station Duluth, Minnesota, until May 2007 where he was certified in Federal Boarding Team Law Enforcement and Battlefield First Aid.

MSgt. Tuzil went on to enlist in the Air National Guard in May 2013 where he attended Aerospace Grounds Equipment Training, graduating in October 2013. His assignments included the Maintenance Squadron where he was an Aerospace Grounds Equipment Specialist. In 2019, he was selected to attend Non-Commissioned Officer Academy for the 106th Maintenance Squadron. He deployed in 2020-2021 in support of Operation Octave Shield. In 2022, he was selected as the Maintenance Squadron Safety Representative.  Brian is currently the Maintenance Operations Supervisor of the 106th Rescue Wing Maintenance Group at the 106 Rescue Wing in Westhampton, NY.

Brian is also a member of the Hampton Bays Fire Department for over 15 years.  He currently resides in Hampton Bays with his wife, Molly and his daughters, Kent and Reagan.
