Details:
On Sunday, February 1st, 2026 at about 12:58 AM, a vehicle was stopped by Southampton Town Police for multiple traffic violations on Montauk Hwy in Watermill. Upon further investigation the driver, Wilson Penatacuri, age 36 of Hampton Bays, NY was found to be operating while intoxicated by alcohol. Mr. Penatacuri, was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police Headquarters for arrest processing. He was charged with one count of Driving while Intoxicated (misdemeanor) and multiple violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. Mr. Penatacuri was held overnight to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court for morning arraignment.
