The Southampton Town Disability Advisory Task Force was established to advise the Town Board on issues that may enhance quality of life for Southampton Town residents and visitors affected by a disability, including but not limited to those with physical and developmental conditions. The DATF seeks to expand upon the purview of the group, while placing an enhanced focus upon the sharing information and resources that are available to actively assist persons with disabilities as well as their families, friends, and/or caregivers. The goals of the DATF is to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities by hosting events, creating forums for public discussion, connecting individuals with services, and raising awareness of issues that have a disproportionate effect upon persons with disabilities.
