On Saturday, March 14, 2026, at approximately 10:17PM., the Southampton Town Police Department Communications Division received a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident in the vicinity of Center Drive South and Lake Avenue, Riverside, New York.
Patrol units responded and determined that the driver of one of the involved vehicles, operating the vehicle while in an intoxicated condition, disobeyed a red-light traffic signal and struck the other involved vehicle.
The intoxicated driver and the driver of the other involved vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported by ambulance to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment.
Consequently, Freily N. Muzus-Luna, 23 years of age, of Riverhead, New York, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was issued a field appearance ticket directing him to appear in court at a future date to answer the charge.
