On the above date at about 9:29pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction in the area of Wood Road Trail and Flanders Road, Flanders. During the course of the investigation, officers determined that the operator of the vehicle was intoxicated. The operator was identified as Mario Uyuixtécoc, date of birth 08/01/1982 of Flanders. It was further learned that driver had been in a reportable accident in Riverhead Township and had left the scene without reporting same. The operator was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor) and held for morning arrangements.
