UPDATE ON INFORMATION FROM PRIOR PRESS RELEASE

Details: On Wednesday, March 18th, 2026 Southampton Town Detectives report the arrest of subject Alfredo Osorio, 34 of Westhampton. The defendant was arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident, in which the victim sustained serious physical injuries. This charge is a class E Felony in violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

This arrest stems from an investigation into the hit and run motor vehicle accident which occurred on March 15th, 2026 on Lewis Road near County Road 104. The subject was processed and held for arraignment the next morning in Southampton Town Justice Court.

The investigation into this incident remains on going and Detectives encourage anyone with information on this incident or any incident to please call the Southampton Town Police Detective Division at 631-702-2230.
