On Saturday, January 10th, 2026, at about 10:27pm the Southampton Town Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction. Upon interviewing the driver, Christopher Worrell, 37 years old of East Quogue, he was found to have operated his motor vehicle with a suspended license. Upon further investigation Mr. Worrell had illegal narcotics and a handgun in the vehicle. Mr. Worrell was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police Headquarters for processing where he was held for morning arraignment. Mr. Worrell was charged with Criminal Possession of Narcotic Drug 4th (Felony), Criminal Possession controlled substance 3rd- narcotic drug intent to sell (Felony), Criminal use drug paraphernalia 2nd-Scales(Misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a weapon 3rd (Felony) and two traffic infractions.
