On Monday, December 22, 2025, at approximately 8:06PM., the Southampton Town Police Department Communications Division received a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Squiretown Road and Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, New York.
Responding officers determined that the driver of one of the vehicles, while in an intoxicated condition, rear-ended the other motor vehicle as traffic was beginning to move. As a result of the collision, the driver of the vehicle that was struck sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Consequently, Alvaro Gonzalez De Los Santos, 41 years of age, of Hampton Bays, New York, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor. Gonzalez De Los Santos was transported to Southampton Town Police Headquarters, where he was processed and held for morning arraignment.
