Housing Services

The Department of Housing & Community Development oversees the coordination of the Town’s affordable housing programs and community development activities, including administration of the Federal Community Development Block Grant Program. The Director of Housing & Community Development is a liaison to Town government, the Southampton Housing Authority, and to private development in the planning and development of affordable housing.

The Department administers the requirements of Chapter 216 of the Town Code and manages the Town’s Community Housing Fund, The Director of Housing & Community Development oversees monitoring and compliance for sales and rentals of Community Benefit units and maintains the Affordable Housing Registry.

The Department manages the Town inventory of affordable housing, both rental and ownership, and the lotteries that dispense that housing. Please register on our Housing Registry so we can notify you as affordable housing opportunities become available.
