ST26004045 - On Friday January 23rd, 2026 at 7:39 PM Southampton Town police officers responded to the area of CR.39 at Magee Street for a report of a two-car motor vehicle crash where one vehicle had left the scene prior to police arrival. A police officer on patrol located that vehicle a 2018 Ford Pickup and conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation found that vehicles driver a Hector Zhirzhanpico, age 49 of Springs N.Y. was operating in an intoxicated condition. He was arrested at the scene and then transported to police headquarters for processing. He is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), Leaving the Scene of an Accident -Property Damage (Violation) and several other traffic violations. He was held overnight for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court. No injuries were reported in the accident.

ST26004055 - On Friday January 23rd, 2026 at 8:21 PM Southampton Town police officers responded for a one car motor vehicle crash on Flanders Road at Peconic Avenue in Riverside. Officers found a 2011 Nissan Sentra had collided with a street sign. Further investigation with the driver of that vehicle a Brandon C. Hamilton, age 20 of Riverhead N.Y. found he was operating in an intoxicated condition. He was arrested at the scene and then transported to police headquarters for processing. He is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor). He was held overnight for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court.
