On Saturday January 17th, 2026, at about 12:32 AM a Southampton Town Police officer on patrol observed a 2009 Nissan SUV traveling westbound on Old Country Road in East Quogue committing several traffic violations. A traffic stop was conducted and further investigation done by officers on scene found that vehicles driver a Wilmer H. Moralessuy age 28 of Riverside N.Y. was operating in an intoxicated condition. He was arrested at the scene and then transported to police headquarters for processing. He is charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor) and several traffic violations. Moralessuy was held overnight for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court.
