On Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 at about 3:10 am,  a vehicle was stopped by Southampton Town Police for failing to maintain lane of travel and for speeding, while traveling westbound on State Route 24, near Spinney Road, Flanders. Upon further investigation the operator, ALEX TITUANA-YANCHATIPAN, age 38 of Riverhead, NY, was found to be operating vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol. Mr. TITUANA-YANCHATIPAN, was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police Headquarters for arrest processing. He was charged with one count of Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor) and Multiple violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. Mr. TITUANA-YANCHATIPAN was held overnight to appear at Southampton Town Justice Court for morning arraignment.
