DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for The Town of Southampton Youth Bur
 eau’s “Youth and Government” program. Youth & Government is sponsored by 
 the Alliance of NYS YMCAs and is a national program that involves teens i
 n state-organized\, model-government programs. Students in grades 9 - 12 
 will have the opportunity to practice experiential civic engagement and l
 earn about the democratic process. Youth will discuss and debate issues t
 hat affect citizens of New York State and will get a chance to deliberate
  in the chambers of the NYS Legislature at a state conference in Albany. 
  \n \nThe Southampton Youth Bureau’s Youth & Government program begins We
 dnesday\, October 4th. Meetings will be held the first and third Wednesda
 y of the month from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at the Hampton Bays Community Center\
