Details:

On Saturday, March 28th, 2026 at about 2:43 PM, A Southampton Town Police received a call of a road rage incident that escalated in Remsenburg, NY. Southampton Town Police responded to the scene. Upon further investigation one of the drivers, Victor Verenitch, Age 64, was found to have menaced the other driver with a crowbar. Negative injuries were reported to either party. Mr. Verenitch was placed under arrest and brought to Southampton Town Police Headquarters for arrest processing. He was charged with one count of Menacing 2nd (misdemeanor) and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (misdemeanor) and held overnight to appear in court for morning arraignment.
