            On Friday, March 5th, 2026, at about 11:39 pm the Southampton Town Police responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident on Dune Road in Hampton Bays. Upon arrival and interviewing the driver, Andrew Perel, 64 years old of Quogue, NY, and further investigation, he was found to have operated his motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition.

Mr. Perel was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police Headquarters for processing where he was held for morning arraignment. Mr. Perel was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor)
