6th Annual Hamptons Got Talent Competition

The Southampton Youth Bureau will host their 6th Annual Hamptons Got Talent Competition on Saturday, April 6th (Inclement weather date: Friday, April 12th) from 7:00pm – 10:00pm at Hampton Bays High School, 88 Argonne Rd E. 21 local youth in middle & high school will showcase their talents and compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. This year’s performers include musicians, vocalists, and dancers. Throughout the night, audience members will have the chance to win giveaways and vote for a People’s Choice Award. Creative Arts Contest:
Mental Health Awareness

Mental health issues are a common part of our lives. The Southampton Youth Bureau’s getting the conversation started about Mental Health through this year’s Creative Arts Contest. The contest is open to students in grades 5 – 12 who reside or attend school in the Town of Southampton. Art work will be judged on quality, creativity, and presentation based on the artist’s portrayal of “Mental Health Awareness”. All art entries (maximum of two entries per artist) must be dropped off at the Southampton Youth Bureau’s main office at the Flanders Community Center, 655 Flanders Rd or at the Citizens’ Response Center in Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road by Tuesday, April 30th. Participating artists are invited to bring their families and friends to the final exhibit at the Watermill Center, 39 Water Mill Towd Rd on Wednesday, May 15th from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. Prizes will be awarded to the “Best Art Piece” in the categories of photography, graphic art, sculpture, and free-hand. Light refreshments will be served. Band Applications Now Available
for the
17th Annual Battle of the Bands -


This year’s competition will be held on Friday, June 7th 2019 (Rain Date: Friday, June 14th) at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays from 8:00pm – 11:00pm. All applications and demo music must be received by 4:00pm on Friday, May 10th 2019 and can be sent or dropped off to the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road. Band applications and demo music may also be emailed to Peter Strecker at southamptonyouthbureau@gmail.com. Qualifying bands must have at least one high school student who resides in the Town of Southampton, and a band must consist of a minimum of 3 performing musicians. Registration Now Open for Summer Spy Camp - 

Unleash your inner Sherlock Holmes and learn how to be a detective! The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau is currently accepting applications for their Summer Spy Camp at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road. Each week we will learn how to be a detective through crafts, movies, puzzles, and weekly field trips to Escape Rooms, the beach, police department and much more! Program begins July 1st and ends August 22nd and will be held Monday – Thursday from 12:30pm – 5:00pm. Youth going into grades 5 - 8 are eligible to participate - Proof of grade is required. Camp registration fee is $575/8 weeks (Price includes cost of field trips, lunch and supplies). Registration fee will be $525 per child if enrolled by Friday, April 26th.
