Summer Days

Youth going into grades 5 - 8


The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau is accepting applications for their Summer Days program at The Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road. This year’s theme is Science! Each week we will explore a different area of science through experiments, crafts, cooking and weekly fieldtrips. Program begins July 2nd and ends August 23rd and will be held Monday – Thursday from 12:30pm – 5:00pm. Youth going into grades 5 - 8 are eligible to participate - Proof of grade is required. Camp registration fee is $550/8 weeks (Price includes cost of field trips, lunch and supplies).

Monday Evenings 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm

June 25 - August 27

Children in grades K – 4 are invited to come out for Monday evenings of summer fun & activities from 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm beginning June 25th and ending on August 27th at the Flanders Community Center, 655 Flanders Rd. This free program includes games, arts & crafts, water activities and more! Weather permitting; children will also be transported to SYS Recreation Center, 1370a Majors Path in Southampton to use the outdoor swimming pool and game room.

Tuesdays on the Go

Every Tuesday

June 26 - August 28

The Southampton Youth Bureau will sponsor supervised trips to amusement attractions every Tuesday during the summer starting June 26th until August 28th for grades 6 & up. (Bus to/from Southampton McDonalds, Hampton Bays High School, Flanders Community Center and East Quogue Elementary School) Times vary based on trip location. Space is limited and seating is available on a first come, first served basis. These trips fill up FAST! Tuesdays on the Go

Chess Club

Every Tuesday from 5:30pm – 7:30pm
June 26 - August 28


The Southampton Youth Bureau’s Chess Club will be held every Tuesday from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Flanders Community Center, 655 Flanders Rd beginning June 26th and ending on August 28th. Chess teaches youth how to manage skills, control impulses, delay gratification, and reduce stress. Learning chess can help build self-confidence, gain a sense of community, and learn fair play. Chess Club is free & open to grades K – 12. No experience is needed to join!

Teen Nights at Ludlam Park

 Every Wednesday 7:30pm – 11:00pm
June 27 – August 29

Teens in grades 7 -12 are invited to hang out and participate in numerous activities which include basketball, soccer, baseball, games, crafts, free food, DJ/live music, and more! In the event of inclement weather, the program will be moved indoors at The Drop Spot, 655 Flanders Road. The fun begins Wednesdays, June 27th – August 29th from 7:30pm – 11:00pm.

Teen Nights at Ludlam Park

Pool Nights at SYS

Every Thursdays 5:00pm – 8:00pm
July 5 -  August 23

Youth in grades 5 - 12 are invited to have fun swimming, playing sports, video games, air hockey & much more at the SYS Recreation Center, 1370a Majors Path beginning Thursday, July 5th and ending on Thursday, August 23rd. The pool is open on Thursdays from 5:00pm – 8:00pm and roundtrip transportation is available for $2 from the Flanders Community Center, 655 Flanders Rd. A bathing suit and towel are required so don’t forget it!

Karate Classes at the Drop Spot
