The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau will host an Open Mic Night on Friday, April 17 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Nice Place Coffee. Performing is free and open to youth in grades 5–12. The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau will be hosting a Video Game Tournament on Wednesday, April 8th at the Flanders Youth Center, 655 Flanders Road from 1:00pm – 5:00pm with registration starting at 12:30pm. Event is open to grades 5 – 12 and admission is $10.
The tournament will feature Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 on the Nintendo Switch. Extra game systems will be available for free play & practice. Prizes will be awarded first place in each bracket and all players will be entered into raffles for additional prizes. Prizes include a Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Gaming Headset, Lego GameBoy, and Lego Retro Gaming Toys. Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Band applications are now available for the Southampton Youth Bureau’s 23rd Annual Battle of the Bands. This year’s competition will be held on Friday, June 5th (Rain Date: Friday, June 12th) from 8:00pm – 11:00pm at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays.
