Purpose of the Board

The Architectural Review Board was established pursuant to Southampton Town Code, Article XIX. They are responsible for the following actions:

  • Review Building Division applications for all residential structures and accessory buildings, fences, and additions to existing structures
  • Give approval to those applications which meet the standards of the Architectural Review Board and the criteria in the Town Code
  • Review new commercial sites and submitting advisory reports to the Town Planning Board
  • Record all actions of the Architectural Review Board and making this information available to the public
