Veteran Cards Front

The Town of Southampton created the Veterans Affairs Committee to assist the Town in the identification of the needs of our veterans and assist in the coordination of services and programs to benefit our veterans. At the request of Councilwoman Julie Lofstad, the Town of Southampton supported the committee’s recommendation to create an Active Military and Veteran Discount Card Program.

Active Military and Veteran

The Active Military and Veteran Discount Card is an initiative between the Town’s Veterans Affairs Committee and local merchants to recognize the service and sacrifices made by our service men and women. Under the program, veterans discharged under honorable conditions or active members of the military would receive an ID card identifying them. The merchants who participate in the Active Military and Veteran Discount Program agree, in their discretion, to accept and honor the card by providing holders with a discount or benefit on purchases or services (the amount of the discount will be determined by each merchant).

For your convenience, you may obtain your card by applying online and it will be mailed directly to you. If you need assistance with your online application please call 631-287-5740.  You may also apply in person at the Town Clerk’s Office.

In order to receive your card, you will need to be a Southampton Town Resident, show a copy of your Military ID, DD214 or Veteran  status for proof of eligibility. Southampton Town is grateful to you for your sacrifices and this is one way we can all say THANK YOU!
