Ponquogue Beach Pavilion Redevelopment

Dear Residents,

A major renovation project at Ponquogue Beach began on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Security fencing was installed around the perimeter of the property and there will be no public access to the parking lot or facility with one exception.

There will be a 22' wide access from Dune Rd. to the beach on the far east end of the lot. There will be no parking in this area but it will allow for permitted residents to still have drive on access

We understand that this is a popular place for folks to visit throughout the year but keeping the facility secure is essential for the safety of the public and the contractors as there will be equipment and materials on site, and extensive demolition, and parking lot, pavilion, and entry way work going on. The project will be ongoing and is expected to be completed in May 2019. If you would like to see more details about the work planned for Ponquogue Beach please follow this link to the Town’s website.
