Southampton Town Code Enforcement officers issued over 60 Notice of Violations and 8 Field Appearance Tickets in a recent investigation of the Flanders, Riverside and Northampton area.  The officers went into dozens of neighborhoods and inspected street by street and found several dozen Property Maintenance violations from illegal storage of car parts, abandoned vehicles, illegal parking and debris.

“This Quality of Life investigation is intended to ensure public safety in every neighborhood,” said Southampton Town Code Compliance and Emergency Management Administrator Steven Troyd.  “We will not tolerate excessive parking and illegal storage of vehicles and car parts.”

The Notice of Violations give property owners 30 days to comply or face court appearances and possible fines.  Inspectors will return to make sure the properties have been cleaned up.

This is the one of several such operations in the Town in the past year.  Other inspections have taken place in Hampton Bays, Bridgehampton, Westhampton and North Sea.
